Joseph Adams Family Genealogy

Do you have a book inside you that is waiting to get out, some hidden dream to be an author, make that dream a reality. Share your talent with the world, you have the idea I make it a reality. The books you see below were all self-published by authors like you.

Joseph Adams Family Genealogy
Only two records have been found of Joseph Samuel Adams.
The first was a Bible record of his son, my ancestor. It showed the names, birth, and death dates of everyone in his immediate family. Joseph is shown as having been born 1762, but no place is indicated; with three exceptions, everyone in the family died in the short period, May-June 1810, in “Missouri Territory,” wherever that may have been. One son, Joseph Samuel Adams, (Jr.) died 1798, Botetourt County, Virginia; his death place led to finding the marriage record of his parents.
Joseph Samuel Adams was married by Presbyterian minister, Henry Vanover, 14 August 1792,in Botetourt Co., VA, to Elizabeth Seagraves, daughter of Samuel and Mary (Rogers) Seagraves of that county. All children were born same county, from 1793-1803. Those children were: William; Mary E.; John; Joseph Samuel, Jr.; Samuel (my ancestor); and Ellen Ann. William and my Samuel were the only survivors.
The in-law Seagraves family migrated circa 1804 to Warren County, Kentucky, and Joseph’s family may or may not have accompanied them. No record (except the Bible) of Joseph Samuel Adams has been found, subsequent to his marriage tn 1792.Imagine the harrow of five of the family’s dying quickly, one after the other in a wild country, and possibly being buried, in unmarked graves, at different times, along the migration trail. Things could be rough in those days!
