Obituary February 1912

This morning we learned from the prosecuting attorney, Mr. King, that a murder had been committed in Richwood last night shortly after midnight.

The details were unavailable, but we understand the murdered man was French Hamrick, about 30 years of age, and a resident of Richwood for several years. Our information is that the murderer was a man named Myers, who recently moved to Richwood. A son is also thought to be an accomplice. The murderer is in jail and will be given a haring immediately before Squire Thomas.

A club, which Myers had concealed under his coat, was the weapon used. The killing seems to have taken place close the corner of Main street and Oakford avenue, whichis in the heart of the town.
